Your responsibilities
- Structural analysis tasks include static/dynamic strength
- Perform analysis using analysis software to provide design inputs, solve problems, and contribute to process development for steel structure construct. The work may involve the use of programs such as ANSYS, GeniE, Femap, MSC Nastran etc.
- Preparation and presentation of routine and special reports and summaries on status of projects
- Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish design criteria
- Design and calculations in accordance with the regulations of classification society
- Construct FE models, technical drawings, and documentation
- Participate in reviews of technical designs as either the primary engineer or a project team member.
- Supporting the activities as member of the project team
Our requirements
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Naval Architect / Marine Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years' experience in performing static analysis, preferably in marine industry or related
- Knowledge of English language, both written and spoken
- Ability for teamwork and independence in solving tasks
- The ability to perform calculations on the basis of classification rules, knowledge of other design and calculation programs will be an advantage
- Experience and ability to work with systems: Foran, CADMATIC/Nupas or INVENTOR will be an additional advantage
